The Byrds

Considered by many to be one of the most influential bands of the 1960’s, The Byrds pioneered folk rock, and later influenced the creation of both country and psychedelic rock. The Byrds served as a launching pad for a number of former band members with founding frontman Roger McGuinn the sole constant member of the group from start to finish. The band’s signature harmonies and guitar converged in some of the past known and commonly sung songs of the 60s, including "I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better", "Eight Miles High", "So You Want to Be a Rock 'n' Roll Star", "Chestnut Mare", Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man", and Pete Seeger's "Turn! Turn! Turn!”.
